Open Access Policy
The Berlin Historical Review is an open-access research journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Unlike other academic publishers it is self-funded and makes all its publications freely available to both specialists and non-specialists, universities and individuals.
The journal wishes to share its publications to make new historical research accessible to everyone for free and legal use under the terms of its copyright license. In doing so we hope to support a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Open Access
because knowledge belongs to everyone
